Solving with Half-Angle Formula 

The following images above are demonstrations of the sum/difference formula and the half-angles formula. The work is shown to demonstrate how the steps are to be taken and how they are different. The answers end up being the same. The reason we know the answers are the same is because we can always plug them back into our calculators. No matter which one we plug in the sin=sin, the cos=cos, and the tan=tan. This demonstrates that these two formulas share a relationship as they are able to produce the same answer through different steps.
